Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani has discussed regional security challenges and Georgia's Euro-Atlantic aspirations with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda on an official visit to Lithuania earlier today.
The officials talked about the current situation in Georgia's Russian-occupied regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia (Tskhinvali) and highlighted the importance of high-level coordination with NATO and its allies.
President Nauseda reaffirmed Lithuania's support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, encouraging the Georgian side to 'strengthen good governance' on the way towards Euro-Atlantic integration.

The Georgian FM thanked the Lithuanian president for his 'strong friendship' and support.

The sides further discussed the possible outcomes of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) Summit, expressing hope that it will bring 'tangible results' to Georgia.
Within the framework of his visit, Zalkaliani also met with Lithuanian Speaker of the Seimas Viktorija Cmilyte-Nielsen and discussed the cooperation between Georgian and Lithuanian parliaments.
