Georgian national football team player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has agreed a 5-year contract with Napoli and is in the final stages of negotiations with the club, Italian daily La Gazzetta dello Sport and Naples-based II Mattino have reported.
The original report by Il Mattino on Tuesday said Kvaratskhelia, one of the most notable young talents from Georgia, was expected to join the club with a rich history starting July 1.
This will be Napoli’s first acquisition in the summer transfer market. It has not been officially confirmed yet, but everything is being done to transfer 21-year-old Kvaratskhelia to the Napoli team,” the newspaper wrote.
La Gazzetta dello Sport also said Kvaratskhelia would soon sign the five-year deal.

Nicolò Schira, an Italian sports journalist and an expert in Transfermarkt - a reference website for player values - also responded to the information on Kvaratskhelia's transfer to the club on Twitter, saying the player would sign a €1.1-million-a-year contract.
Kvaratskhelia is currently a member of Georgia’s Dinamo Batumi after leaving the Russian club Rubin late last month. In 2021, the midfielder became the Most Viewed Player on Transfermarkt.
