Georgian judoka Tushishvili wins gold medal at Antalya Grand Slam

Georgian judo wrestler Guram Tushishvili has claimed a gold medal in the men’s 100+ kg judo final at the Antalya Grand Slam in Turkey on Sunday.

Tushishvili, the 2018 World Champion, contested the final against Alisher Yusupov of Uzbekistan, and won the match by ipon.

Tushishvili earned a gold at the 2018 World Judo Championships, in addition to gold medals at 2019 and 2017 European Judo Championships. 

The Georgian athlete also claimed a silver at the 2021 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo and a gold at the 2022 Judo Grand Slam in Tel Aviv.
