The body of Davit Gobejishvili, the fourth Georgian volunteer to be killed in combat action in Ukraine, was transferred to Georgia earlier today.
Family members and dozens of citizens gathered at the Tbilisi International Airport in the morning to pay respect to Gobejishvili, who was killed on March 26 in Irpin, a town northwest of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.

Four Georgian volunteers have been killed in Ukraine so far. The bodies of Gia Beriashvili and Davit Ratiani were transferred to Georgia on March 24. They were killed on March 18 in a clash near Irpin.
Due to the difficult situation in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol, it has not yet been possible to transfer the body of Bakha Chikobava, the fourth Georgian volunteer who has died in the war, to Georgia.
Chikobava was killed in Mariupol on March 19.
