Georgia reports 3,201 new COVID-19 cases, weekly positivity rate stands at 9.19%

Georgia has reported 3,201 new cases of coronavirus, 4,098 recoveries and 64 deaths in the last 24 hours. The weekly positivity rate for tested individuals stands at 9.19%.
A total of 26,588 tests have been conducted in the country during the last 24 hours. 14,401 of them were rapid tests, while the remaining 12,187 were PCR tests.
The new 3,201 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi – 1,383 cases
- Imereti – 536 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 263 cases
- Kakheti – 155 cases
- Adjara – 141 cases
- Guria – 111 cases
- Shida Kartli – 244 cases
- Kvemo Kartli – 187 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti – 93 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 28 cases
Currently 39,228 patients are undergoing treatment at home, 6,611 patients – in hospitals, while 1,084 patients are undergoing treatment in clinical hotels.

Foreign citizens and individuals with non-resident status in Georgia can now use the health ministry's newly launched application for confirming their Covid-related status during their stay in the country, while the government has also announced venues and establishments the pass will allow access to.
Restaurants, cafes and bars will operate in Georgia without hourly restrictions and the permissible number of spectators at cinemas, theatres and the opera house will increase from 30% to 50%, announces Chief of the Operational Staff of the Interagency Coordination Council, Giorgi Gibradze.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili says that the Georgian government will never introduce compulsory COVID vaccination. In an interview for the Georgian Public Broadcaster on November 23, Garibashvili also stated that the number of anti-vaxxers is not the fault of either the government or the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). He noted that anti-vaxxers exist not only in Georgia, but also in the leading, developed countries.
Covid-19 ‘green’ passes will come into force in Georgia starting December 1, obliging the public to present proof of vaccination, testing or recovery from Covid-19 when entering certain establishments.
Georgian Deputy Minister of Health Tamar Gabunia has said earlier today that face mask usage in the country amounts to 28%, while flu shots will be free of charge until December 1 and can be administered alongside Covid-19 vaccines.
Georgia has reported 4,534 new cases of coronavirus, 3,742 recoveries and 74 deaths in the past 24 hours. 47,111 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.51,756 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 30,538 of the 51,756 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 21,218 were PCR tests. The country has had 831,248 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
