Covid-19 in Georgia: 1,597 new cases, 1,189 recoveries, 38 deaths

Georgia has reported a total of 1,597 new cases of the coronavirus after conducting 34,331 tests over the last 24 hours.
Out of the new cases 497 were reported in Tbilisi.
Other cases were reported in:

- Shida Kartli - 119
- Kvemo Kartli - 102
- Adjara 84
- Guria - 50
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 49

- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 12
Meanwhile 1,189 individuals recovered and 38 patients died.
As of now the number of total confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Georgia stands at 605,360, including 573 542 recoveries and 8,787 deaths

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $15 million loan to support Georgia’s National Vaccines Deployment Plan by purchasing and delivering an estimated 700,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines as well as syringes, safety boxes, and other items for administering vaccines. ADB’s project will procure enough vaccines to inoculate about 300,000 people in Georgia.
The Labor Inspection Service of the Georgian Health Ministry has found that in the vast majority of Covid clinics salaries for doctors are unequally distributed while in some hospitals employees have not received vacation and medical leave payments in recent months.
Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze stated earlier today that the replacement of a Covid-19 vaccination ad with a ‘billboard of hatred‘ is categorically unacceptable, referring to anti-opposition political billboards which appeared in Georgia on September 17. She said that ‘vaccination is a priority not only for the country but also for the world.’
Georgia has reported 663 new cases of coronavirus, 2,383 recoveries and 27 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate has come down to 4.99% of tested individuals for Covid-19 as of September 26 in comparison to 6.48% of last two weeks. In total, 13,277 tests have been conducted around the country of which 7,302 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 5,975 were PCR tests. Currently 19,404 individuals remain infected with Covid-19.
Georgia has reported 2,185 new cases of coronavirus, 2,010 recoveries and 40 deaths in the past 24 hours. 19,538 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia. 31,216 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 19,877 of the 31,216 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 11,339 were PCR tests.
