Tbilisi City Court has found former Chief Prosecutor of Georgia Otar Partskhaladze innocent in the case of the beating of former head of Georgia’s State Audit Office Lasha Tordia back in 2017.

Both served under the Georgian Dream leadership.

The incident between Partskhaladze and Tordia took place on May 12, 2017 in the El Centro club in central Tbilisi.

Tordia, who served as the chairperson of the Georgian State Audit Office between 2012 and 2017, said that the reason for the attack by Partskhaladze and his companion, former employee of the Ministry of Finance Mikheil Chokheli, were the findings the State Audit Office intended to release against Partskhaladze.

The court found Chokheli guilty for beating Tordia and fined him 5,000 GEL.
