A total of 40 families have received apartments in Georgia's seaside town of Batumi earlier today in the framework of the affordable housing project financed by Batumi City Hall.
The first stage of the affordable housing project (so-called cheap house) implemented by Batumi City Hall has been completed,” the government of Adjara states.
The cost of the project amounts to 4,667,746 GEL (about $1,500,931/€1,281,326).
The company that won the tender selected the families for the program, while the apartments for the families were selected by lottery.
Head of the government of Adjara Tornike Rizhvadze together with the acting mayor of Batumi Lela Surmanidze have given apartments to 40 families in two newly built houses.
The applications for the second phase of the program are accepted until the end of September.
