Tbilisi Ivane Bokeria State University Hospital is suing a former male nurse for an anti-coronavirus campaign on social media, using the hospital’s name and logo.
Bokeria hospital says that the nurse’s anti-vaccine videos in social media ‘damaged the hospital’s reputation and put people’s health at risk.’
Generally, people trust the information more easily which is released using the hospital’s name. What our former employee has done was misleading, harmful to the hospital’s image and public health,” said the hospital administration.
The nurse released an anti-vaccine video on social media on July 28 and was shortly dismissed from the hospital.

She added that as of today more than 3,000 people are undergoing inpatient treatment in the capital city of Tbilisi, about 900 in Adjara, and 1,000 patients in the Imereti region of Georgia.
