Coronavirus: 1,398 new cases of 30,867 tests in 24 hours

Georgia has reported 1,398 new cases of coronavirus, 1,164 recoveries and 11 deaths in the past 24 hours.
In total, 30,867 tests have been conducted around the country of which 16,167 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14,700 were PCR tests.
The new cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 813 cases
- Imereti - 115 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 94 cases
- Adjara - 93 cases
- Kakheti - 84 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 59 cases
- Shida Kartli - 49 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 36 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 27 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 19 cases
- Guria - 9 cases

Currently 14,714 individuals remain infected with Covid-19, of which:
- 9,811 patients are undergoing treatment at home
- 3,838 patients - in hospitals
- 1,065 patients - in the clinical-hotels
In addition, 756 patients are in critical condition of which 166 are on artificial ventilation.

As of today 9,947 individuals are in self-isolation and 55 individuals are under quarantine.

Georgia’s vaccine registration portal https://booking.moh.gov.ge is now functioning normally again after experiencing technical issues for several hours earlier today. Registration began at 15:00 however due to technical issues residents were unable to complete the process.
Servicemembers of the Georgian Defence Forces and dancers of the celebrated Sukhishvili and Erisioni national troupes have used their Covid-19 jabs to urge citizens to vaccinate, as Georgia begins to receive delayed batches of Covid-19 vaccines.
The Pfizer vaccine is already available in Georgia and residents can start registering to receive the jab at https://booking.moh.gov.ge starting today at 15:00, announces the Ministry of Health of Georgia. Vaccination applicants can also register directly during a visit to clinics.
Georgia has reported 1,663 new cases of coronavirus, 769 recoveries and 13 deaths in the past 24 hours. In total, 35,559 tests have been conducted around the country of which 18,254 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 17,305 were PCR tests. Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 381,336 cases of coronavirus, 361,327 recoveries and 5,492 deaths.
Georgian Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia has said earlier today that due to the worsening epidemiological situation some restrictions may be imposed again in the country. She said that Covid-19 is spreading fast and without intervention this rate will increase further.

In total, 34,800 tests have been conducted around the country of which 18,765 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 16,035 were PCR tests. Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 384,387 cases of coronavirus, 362,957 recoveries and 5,516 deaths.
