Coronavirus: 1,392 new cases of 38,136 tests in 24 hours

Georgia has reported 1,392 new cases of coronavirus, 531 recoveries and 11 deaths in the past 24 hours.
In total, 38,136 tests have been conducted around the country of which 17,650 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 20,486 were PCR tests.
The new cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 887 cases
- Imereti - 130 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 84 cases
- Kakheti - 69 cases
- Shida Kartli - 62 cases
- Adjara - 61 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 33 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 29 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 23 cases
- Guria - 9 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 5cases

Mass vaccination against the Covid-19 started in Georgia on July 5.
Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics had posted on his Twitter account that the government of Latvia decided to provide Covid19 vaccines to Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, Albania and Kenya.

Currently 11,016 individuals remain infected with Covid-19, of which:
- 7,109 patients are undergoing treatment at home
- 3,054 patients - in hospitals
- 853 patients - in the clinical-hotels
In addition, 633 patients are in critical condition of which 164 are on artificial ventilation.
As of today 7,144 individuals are in self-isolation and 71 individuals are under quarantine.

In addition Georgia has confirmed 52 cases of the Delta Covid-19 variant, which was first Confirmed in India.
Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia said yesterday that there are 'five suspicious cases are under examination'.
There is a risk that the Delta variant may become more widespread, with an estimated rate of 10% to 20%, and we should be very careful', Gabunia said.
