It is now easier than ever to follow the brightest and latest Georgian talent in electronic and experimental music with the launch of Radio Electronauts, an online platform hosting 24/7 streams, live performances and recordings of artists.
Unveiled on Wednesday by Electronauts, a collective and foundation dedicated to promoting and developing the local experimental scene, the website is a repository of multimedia showcasing projects, releases and performances of the likes of Anushka Chkheidze, Yanamaste and Kraumur.
The 24-hour audio stream of tracks is available both on the page and through online distribution platforms like Free Radio and Streema, with new releases having their own section on the website.
Supported by Tbilisi City Hall, the new platform is "fully dedicated to promoting eclectic and innovative Georgian music scene", organisers said, and has a section for accommodating information on the annual Electronauts Awards that have been held since 2007.
The awards and the wider Electronauts project is the leading local platform showcasing electronic and experimental music talent, distinguishing established and newcoming artists alike.
The former project honours musicians in categories ranging from Music Video of the Year to Album of the Year and Festival of the Year. Prizes for live acts, music labels and DJs are also part of its end-of-year celebrations.
