Two schools and three kindergartens have been closed in Georgia’s city of Gori after teachers and children tested positive for the coronavirus.
Head of Gori district Education Resource Centre Nana Termakozashvili said Gori public schools No 2 and No 3 will be switched to remote classes until June 10.
Due to the epidemic situation, Gori No 7 public school, and No 1 public school in the village of Karaleti have also been switched to remote classes until June 2.

The Georgian Ministry of Education will allow the parents of school students to choose between in-person and online studies starting February 1.
School teachers who start teaching in person on February 1 will be tested for coronavirus by PCR before studies resume.
All public and private schools will continue studies remotely until the end of 2nd semester in Tbilisi and other big cities due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Forty-two kindergartens have been closed in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi since October 12 after teachers and kindergarteners tested positive for the coronavirus.
