Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations, this year’s municipal elections and Georgia’s plans to apply for the EU membership by 2024 were top on the agenda during Kuchava’s meeting with Sassoli.
Sassoli is ready to visit Georgia shortly after the municipal elections,” Kuchava said.
MEPs Kaljurand and Mikser have expressed hope that Georgian political parties will resolve problems in the parliamentary format, Kuchava said.

Kuchava stated that the meeting with the MEPs also concerned the EU-mediated agreement and the ‘importance of fulfilling the agreement’ which was signed by the majority of Georgian political parties back in April.
Fruitful exchange of thoughts with @Urmaspaet on internal politics of Georgia & the current geo-political environment in the wider European region.
