Georgian Parliament Speaker Kakha Kuchava pays official visit to Ukraine

Georgian Parliament Speaker Kakha Kuchava has left for Ukraine on an official visit today.

As part of his official visit to Ukraine, Kakha Kuchava will take part in the ceremony in Babin Yar, Kyiv, to pay tribute to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust in Ukraine.

2021 marks 80 years of the Babyn Yar massacre tragedy. Nearly 34,000 Jews were killed by the Nazis at the ravine of Babyn Yar.

Presidents of Israel and Germany, as well as Speakers of the parliaments of Austria, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Slovakia and Poland will also take part in the ceremony.
