Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has hosted opposition MPs at the Orbeliani palace to discuss current political affairs.

President Zurabishvili met separately with leaders of Girchi, Citizens, Strategy Aghmashenebeli, Lelo for Georgia and Repulican Party, as well as MP Salome Samadashvili.
Opposition MPs who have signed the EU-mediated agreement with the ruling Georgian Dream party in April have entered the parliament after a six-month boycott.
Although several current and former members of United National Movement and European Georgia have also signed the agreement individually, other representatives of both parties as well as Labour Party refuse to sign the document.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili pardoned eight inmates earlier today, on St.George’s Day.
Opposition MPs who have signed the EU-mediated agreement with the ruling Georgian Dream party earlier this month have entered parliament earlier today.
The United States welcomes the agreement reached by the government of Georgia and several opposition parties on April 19, under the mediation of European Union President Charles Michel, to bring an end to Georgia’s political crisis, announces the US Embassy to Georgia.
Several changes have been made to the European Union-backed compromise to end the political crisis in Georgia. Head of the EU Delegation to Georgia Carl Hartzell, who introduced the changes to politicians earlier today, said this is a proposal that President of the European Council Charles Michel ‘views as balanced and realistic’.
