The Romanian, Polish and Turkish FMs have stated in Bucharest earlier today that they support the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine and Georgia and reaffirmed their support for sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries.

The joint statement came after today’s ministerial in Bucharest where Georgian and Ukrainian FMs were also invited.

We agreed that further strengthening of NATO's restraining and defensive policy and the political dimension of the alliance, strengthening its resilience and supporting the open door policy remain important,as well supporting partners in the Eastern and Western Balkans. We emphasise NATO's continued interest in a substantive dialogue with our partners, given that this relationship must remain mutually beneficial,” said the statement.
