Coronavirus: Georgia reports 1,177 new cases, 15,205 tests conducted

Georgia has reported 1,177 new cases of coronavirus, 837 recoveries and 26 deaths in the past 24 hours.
13,674 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.
15,205 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours around the country.
7,265 of the 15,205 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,940 were PCR tests.
Georgia has had 245,789 cases of coronavirus since February 2020.
229,196 of the 245,789 individuals have recovered, while 2,893 others have died.

The new 1,177 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 496 cases
- Adjara - 52 cases
- Imereti - 187 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 83 cases
- Shida Kartli - 83 cases
- Guria - 33 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 105 cases
- Kakheti - 88 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 25 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 20 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi, Kvemo Svaneti - 5 cases

3,732 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 777 of the 3,732 patients are in critical condition. 238 of the 777 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.
648 Covid-19 patients are in hotels, 499 individuals are in quarantine and 9,294 are at home.
23,772 individuals are in self-isolation.
More than 2, 032,000 tests have been conducted in Georgia so far.
Dozens of Georgian children have developed a multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) which is a rare but serious complication associated with COVID-19, Radio Liberty has reported.
Georgia has reported 1,357 new cases of coronavirus, 748 recoveries and 21 deaths in the past 24 hours. 13,360 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today. 15,891 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours around the country. 8,767 of the 15,891 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,124 were PCR tests. Georgia has had 244,612 cases of coronavirus since February 2020. 228,359 of the 244,612 individuals have recovered, while 2,867 others have died.
Georgian Health Officials say that the country will be able to receive only 200,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine against coronavirus as of today as Georgia lacks refrigeration facilities to keep the vaccines in mandatory -80 degree conditions.
The Pfizer vaccine may be the first vaccine Georgia uses to combat the coronavirus in the near future, said Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze earlier today.
Georgian citizens will receive all the high quality coronavirus vaccinations which will be approved by international health organisations, said Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia earlier today.
