Georgia has reported seven new cases of coronavirus earlier today, with the total number of confirmed cases standing at 98.
78 of the 98 are active cases, as 18 have recovered and two were foreign citizens who have already left the country.
4,978 are under quarantine and 266 others in hospitals.
Health condition of six of 78 is critical.

Georgia has reported six new cases of coronavirus earlier today, with the total number of confirmed cases standing at 97.
18 of the 97 have recovered.
Georgian health officials say that it has been identified how the six new patients contracted the virus.
As of now there are 77 in the country infected with the virus (two were foreign citizens who have already left the country via a charter flight).
4,878 people in Georgia are under quarantine and 264 others in hospitals as of March 30.
Georgia reported its first case of coronavirus on February 26, 2020.
There have been no deaths related to the coronavirus in the country so far.
One more individual has tested positive for the new coronavirus in Georgia, bringing total confirmed cases to 91. Medical director of Tbilisi Hospital of Infectious Diseases Marina Ezugbaia said s/he had returned from England and was self-isolating until now.
The Tbilisi TV tower lit up with the colors of the Spanish flag as a sign of support and solidarity with Spain in the fight against the new coronavirus. Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani wrote on Twitter that Tbilisi is “in solidarity with its Spanish friends”.
Top state officials from the UK and Spain have expressed their gratitude to Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili for her words of solidarity in these hard times due to the coronavirus.
Thirteen individuals have recovered from coronavirus in Georgia. Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 81 confirmed cases of the virus. Two were foreign citizens who left the country earlier this month via a charter flight. As of now there are 66 patients in the country infected with the virus, including several minors. The health condition of all minors is stable.
Georgian Agriculture Ministry will spend 16 million GEL ($4.86 mln/€4.42 mln) to make sugar, oil and pasta stocks in the country due to the coronavirus outbreak.The ministry will buy 5,000 tonnes of sugar, 500 tonnes of pasta and 1.5 tonnes of sunflower oil.
"These are very difficult times not only for the EU, but for our partner countries as well. We are doing all we can to mitigate the impact of the coronavirus outbreak on human lives and livelihoods. Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has announced a nationwide curfew starting tomorrow at 8 a.m, ‘to effectively contain the spread of coronavirus in Georgia’. Speaking at a special briefing earlier today, Gakharia said that the government has made ‘fast, brave and effective’ decisions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, that is why the country has only had 100 confirmed cases of the virus since February 2020, including 18 recovered.

Tougher restrictions to contain the spread of COVID-19 go into force today, including a nationwide curfew that will be in effect from 21:00 – 06:00. Public transport has also been suspended, and the public cannot gather in groups of more than three people. The measures will be in place until at least April 21. Georgia has had 110 confirmed cases of the virus starting from February 26, 2020.
