Police have detained a Georgian citizen for attempted premediated murder of three and illegal purchase and possession of firearms at the internationally acclaimed underground club Bassiani in Tbilisi last night.
The Georgian Interior Ministry reported today that an individual identified only as B.Ch. and born in 1980, injured three at the entrance of the night club and tried to escape.
B.Ch., who was soon detained near his home, was found in illegal possession of one firearm, six knives and 23 bullets.
The crime is punishable by 16 to 28 years in prison or lifetime imprisonment.
As for those injured, all of the three were delivered to hospital and face no threat now.
Naja Orashvili, co-founder of Bassiani wrote on her Facebook yesterday that everything was fine and she hoped the offender would be punished as soon as possible.
