3rd Georgian citizen dies of coronavirus in Spain

A third Georgian citizen, a 65-year-old man, has died of the COVID-19 virus in Spain yesterday, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia confirmed today.
Two other Georgian citizens, both female, who died of the virus in Spain earlier this month, suffered underlying illnesses.
Georgia has had no deaths of coronavirus inside the country. However, the condition of four patients of a total of 46 currently infected individuals is critical.
Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 54 confirmed cases of the respiratory infection, including eight individuals who have recovered [five have been discharged]. .
As of now 3,254 people are under quarantine in Georgia, and 233 others in hospitals.
Eight patients have recovered from COVID-19 in Georgia in total, with five of them already leaving Tbilisi Hospital of Infectious Diseases, director of the hospital Marina Ezugbaia said.
Ten individuals from the Georgian regions of Imereti, Samegrelo, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti have been placed under quarantine for violating self-isolation rules aimed to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. As of today, there are a total of 190 individuals under the mandatory quarantine in Georgia.

A 74-year-old Georgian woman with underlying chronic disease has died in Spain after being infected with COVID-19, the Georgian government has confirmed.
A 64-year-old Georgian man with underlying chronic disease has died in the United States from coronavirus infection, the deputy head of the National Disease Control Centre (NCDC) Paata Imnadze said earlier today.
Another Georgian citizen has died from the new coronavirus in Barcelona, Spain, said Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani earlier today. The patient was a 55-year old woman who was also suffering from cancer.
A fifth person has died of COVID-19 in Georgia earlier today. The 68-year-old man from Bolnisi municipality, with several underlying illnesses, was undergoing treatment in the First University Clinic of Tbilisi.
Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani has met with his Spanish counterpart Arancha Gonzalez Laya in Madrid earlier today to boost bilateral ties and discuss joint efforts against coronavirus and the post-pandemic period.
