Georgian citizens living abroad will be able to consult Georgian specialists about the new coronavirus COVID-19 online starting March 20, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia reported earlier today.

Infectious disease specialists will answer the questions of citizens via a Facebook live feed, which will be organized by Georgian diplomatic missions abroad.

The first online consultation will be held today at 17:00 pm (GMT +1), on the Facebook page of the Embassy of Georgia to Italy: https://www.facebook.com/ambasciatadigeorgia/

We ask citizens to send questions about the coronavirus to Rome.doctor@mfa.gov.ge," reads the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The schedule of the current week of online consultations for Georgian citizens in other countries is as follows: March 21 - Spain, March 22 - France.

Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani stated yesterday that the state will support Georgian citizens who are now in the EU Schengen Zone and will have to violate the legal, 90-day-term of stay due to restrictions imposed because of the coronavirus.
