Thirty-three individuals in isolation have tested negative for Covid-19, with the number of infected people in Georgia remaining unchanged and at 15, director of Tbilisi Hospital of Infectious Diseases Marina Ezugbaia stated earlier today.
She said that the condition of one of the 15 infected is severe, but ‘stable and manageable,’ while three others have pneumonia ‘but their condition is not severe.’
The remaining 11 have a mild form of the virus,” Ezugbaia said.
Georgia is able to diagnose the China-born respiratory infection at the Tbilisi Lugar Lab.
Of the total 15 two got infected in Iran, 12 travelled in Italy or had contact with those who returned from Italy, while one came from Spain but had contact with Italians.
The virus, which appeared first in the city of Wuhan of China at the end of 2019, comes with high fever, followed by dry cough and shortness of breath.
Georgia confirmed its first case of the virus at the end of February 2020.
