Georgian external trade down 14.6% in Jan-Nov 2020

Georgia’s external trade turnover amounted to $10.20 billion in January-November 2020, which is 14.6% lower compared to the same period of the last year, show preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

The value of exports decreased 11.3% and totalled $3.01 billion, while imports also decreased 15.9%, amounting to $7.18 billion.

The trade deficit of Georgia in the first 11 months of 2020 amounted to $4.16 billion which is 40.9% of total trade turnover.
