The 2021 Tbilisi budget will be over 1.1 bln GEL, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has announced earlier today, noting that 33 per cent of the budget will be spent on social and healthcare projects.
In 2021 it is fundamentally important to implement various types of projects in the city, said Kaladze.
The city’s 2020 budget was 1.23 billion GEL, an increase of 217 million GEL over 2019; much of the Tbilisi budget for 2020 was used to replace old yellow buses and renew the city’s public transport fleet.
As for the state budget of Georgia, 18 billion GEL has been allocated for state ministries, agencies, projects, and also to alleviate sectors of the economy affected Covid-19 in 2021.
