Georgia reports record high 4,780 new cases of coronavirus

Georgia has reported 4,780 new cases of coronavirus, 3,489 recoveries and 37 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

20,013 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today. 

The new 4,780 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 1,863 cases 
  • Adjara - 664 cases 
  • Imereti - 648 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli - 319 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 259 cases 
  • Guria - 102 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 385 cases 
  • Kakheti - 280 cases 
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 128 cases 
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 89 cases 
  • Racha-Lechkhumi, Kvemo Svaneti - 43 cases

Georgia has had 123,470 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 

Since then 102,270 individuals have recovered, while 1,161 others have died. 

6,251 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 976 of the 6,251 patients are in critical condition. 375 of the 976 critical patients are on artificial ventilation. 

3,863 Covid-19 patients are in hotels, 2,114 individuals are in quarantine and 9,899 are at home.

54,554 individuals are in self-isolation.

More than 1,140,000 individuals have been tested for coronavirus in Georgia so far.
