Record-breaking Georgian athlete Lasha Talakhadze has won gold in the Georgian weightlifting championship by snatching 200, 210 and 217 kg in the 109+ kg category today.
Talakhadze was the first with 250 kg in clean-and-jerk as well, which gave the reigning Olympic and world champion a combined result of 467 kg.
The weightlifting championship held in the Georgian town of Dusheti between October 26-28 was carried out in full compliance with the coronavirus-related safety regulations.
