Georgian weightlifter Lasha Talakhadze sets new world record in snatch

Georgia's multiple world champion and record-breaking weightlifter Lasha Talakhadze has set a new world record by snatching 222 kg at the Georgian championship.

Lasha Talakhadze, who is the current world record holder in the snatch with 220kg, has now made ‘the heaviest confirmed snatch made in the history of the sport’.
