Lasha Talakhadze, who is the current world record holder in the snatch with 220kg, has now made ‘the heaviest confirmed snatch made in the history of the sport’.

Talakhadze achieved a world record in snatch at the 2017 European Weightlifting Championships with 217 kg, the highest snatch ever recorded at the time.
