The number of daily coronavirus tests being conducted in Georgia is 12,000, which is 60 times more than at the onset period of the pandemic.

Head of the government administration Natia Mezvrishvili said today that Georgia has enough testing supplies

Georgian citizens just need to understand in which cases they need to be tested for COVID-19. If one has suspicious symptoms of the virus, he/she will definitely be able to undergo PCR testing. The recommendations have been changed”, Mezvrishvili said.

As soon as the first symptom of the coronavirus appears, an individual should move into self-isolation and consult a family doctor.

Based on a recommendation of a family doctor, the patient will undergo PCR testing.

Mezvrishvili denied reports that there are not enough beds in the country that  patients are being treated without doctor’s attention.
