Georgia has reported 1,194 new cases of coronavirus and 15 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Capital Tbilisi and Imereti region in the country’s west are on top of the list with 425 and 372 new cases respectively.
The government may impose restrictions for public transport ‘where it is necessary,’ head of Government administration of Georgia Natia Mezvrishvili stated earlier today.
She also said that fines may increase for not wearing face masks and restaurants and cafes will close in Mtskheta at 22:00 p.m. starting tomorrow (as in Tbilisi and Imereti region).
The country is able to admit 800-900 additional patients in hospitals as of today.

11,033 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.
2,817 of the infected individuals are undergoing treatment in hospitals, while others are either in hotels or at home as they suffer from a mild form of the virus.

Georgia has had 19,857 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
Since then 8,666 individuals have recovered, while 158 others have died.
341 patients are in critical condition around the country. Only 75 of the 341 patients are on artificial ventilation.
Parliamentary elections are scheduled to take place in Georgia on October 31.
Georgian Education Minister Minister Chkhenkeli stated earlier today that schools where polling stations will be opened will transfer to remote learning on October 28, 29 and 30.
