60 of new 1,194 Covid cases are medical workers

Georgia has reported 1,194 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours and 60 of them are medical workers, says Head of the National Disease Control Centre Amiran Gamkrelidze.
Gamkrelidze said that infected medical workers will be replaced by rotation methods.
We had similar cases in the spring, when emergency doctors were infected in Bolnisi, Kvemo Kartli and were replaced with doctors from different regions. There are some reserves, of course", Gamkrelidze said.
11,033 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.
2,817 of the infected individuals are undergoing treatment in hospitals, while others are either in hotels or at home as they suffer from a mild form of the virus.
The country is able to admit 800-900 additional patients in hospitals as of today.
Georgia has had 19,857 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
Since then 8,666 individuals have recovered, while 158 others have died.
Restaurants will close at 10 pm in Georgia's ancient capital city of Mtskheta located just north of Tbilisi.
Georgia has reported 1,194 new cases of coronavirus and 15 deaths in the past 24 hours. Capital Tbilisi and Imereti region in the country’s west are on top of the list with 425 and 372 new cases respectively.
Georgian epidemiologists say that daily coronavirus cases in Georgia may peak in the middle of November.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has stated that the government has no plans to declare a state of emergency or implement any other systemic restrictions amid the serious growth of coronavirus cases in Georgia. He said that the recent surge in the new infections was ‘absolutely expected’ and the government has taken ‘all measures’ to get prepared for a second wave of coronavirus.
Twelve local NGOs have urged the Georgian government to inform people about the decisions it may make to ensure the safe conduct of the October 31 parliamentary elections amid a serious increase in coronavirus cases.
