Ruling Georgian Dream, Lelo‌ top two recipients of September election contributions

The ruling Georgian Dream party received 6,495,650 million GEL in election contributions last month, while the opposition Lelo party, which was founded by co-founders of TBC bank Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze, received 1, 312,590 GEL, the State Audit Office reports.

Strategy Agmashenebeli received 1,172,837 GEL in election contributions last month. 

The United National Movement received 665,400 GEL, while the European Georgia opposition party - 408,031 GEL. 

245 individuals contributed to the ruling party last month, while 59 individuals did so for Lelo, 36 for Strategy Agmashenebeli and 90 to the United National Movement. 

Parliamentary elections will be held on October 31 in Georgia.
