Ruling Georgian Dream party accepts opposition parties’ challenge to hold debates ahead of parliamentary elections

The ruling Georgian Dream party has accepted the challenge of the opposition parties Lelo and Strategy Agmashenebeli to participate in debates in the coming days.

Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said political debates would be held between the ruling GD party and opposition leaders, Mamuka Khazaradze and Giorgi Vashadze.

Gakharia noted that he has never avoided meaningful discussions, ‘especially with these gentlemen’.

In general, political debates, including party debates, are one of the most important elements in the election process. We must also keep in mind that debates should be meaningful and based on truth”, Gakharia said.
