12,525 foreign citizens were working in Georgia in 2019 which is 828 more compared to the previous year, show data from the Revenue Service.

Foreign citizens working in Georgia came from 106 countries in 2019; the top 10 countries from where foreign workers came in 2019 were as follows:

  • Turkey – 2,828 workers
  • Azerbaijan – 1,433 workers
  • China – 1,411 workers
  • Ukraine – 1,372 workers
  • Russia – 1,148 workers
  • Iran – 771 workers
  • Armenia – 495 workers
  • India – 390 workers
  • Kazakhstan – 317 workers
  • Belarus – 198 workers

Only one person works in Georgia from countries such as the Republic of Burundi, Chile, Ethiopia, the Republic of Fiji, Colombia, Costa Rica, Liberia, Liechtenstein, Malta, Mozambique, Oman, Kuwait, Senegal, Venezuela, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.
