An additional six coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the village of Saberio, in Gali municipality of occupied Abkhazia.
All of them have already been brought onto Tbilisi-controlled territory for treatment. There have been 65 coronavirus confirmed cases in Saberio in total.
52 more coronavirus cases were recorded in Abkhazia on September 15, bringing the total number of detected cases of coronavirus in the occupied region to 726 people, says apsnypress, the de facto state press agency of Abkhazia. Of these, 192 patients have recovered, 7 have died.
Currently there are 66 patients in Gudauta Central Hospital, 63 of which have confirmed cases of coronavirus. Three patients are in serious condition, 17 patients are in moderately severe conditions.
State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality of Georgia Ketevan Tsikhelashvili has urged the residents of the Russia-occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) regions to follow recommendations of the World Health Organization, saying that the Georgian government is ready help them prevent the spread of COVID-19 if the need arises.

The medical director of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Marina Ezugbaia told journalists today that a total of 187 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia in the last 24 hours. Ezugbaia noted as well that 46 patients have recovered from the coronavirus.
