Universal Pictures scouts in Georgia to uncover new film locations

American film studio Universal Pictures is sending three location scouts to Georgia  following the filming of Fast and Furious in Georgia last year.

The scouts will learn about the country’s creative industry and potential, and travel to several parts of Georgia to find interesting filming locations. The tour specifically designed for the three guests will take place on September 14-18, during which time they will visit Gori, Vardzia, Kvishkheti, Ananuri, Kazbegi and several parts of the Kakheti region. 

At the end of the visit, Georgian creative industry representatives will attend a workshop with the Universal Pictures location scouts who will share their experiences with the public. They will also discuss the specifics of searching for and choosing locations for filming.

The tour is organised within the Film in Georgia state programme which has been implemented by Enterprise Georgia agency.

The qualified expenses of all of the agreements amounts to more than 94 million GEL.
