Georgia attracted $237.8 mln in FDIs in Q2 of 2020, UK top foreign investor

Foreign direct investments (FDI) in Georgia amounted to $237.8 million in the second quarter of 2020, which is a 0.5 per cent increase compared to the same period of 2019, show the latest data of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

The top three countries that invested the most in the second quarter of 2020 were:

  1. United Kingdom (24.8 per cent)
  2. Netherlands (22.4 per cent)
  3. Turkey (13.3 per cent)

The share of the three largest investor countries in the total volume of foreign direct investments reached 57 per cent in the reporting period.
