Foreign direct investments (FDI) in Georgia amounted to $237.8 million in the second quarter of 2020, which is a 0.5 per cent increase compared to the same period of 2019, show the latest data of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

The share of the three largest investor countries in the total volume of foreign direct investments reached 57 per cent in the reporting period.

The largest share of FDI was registered in the financial sector, reaching $78.1 million in Q2 2020, the energy sector was the second with $29.6 million, followed by the construction sector with $27.7 million.
