Georgia attracted $1.31 bln in FDIs in 2019, UK top foreign investor

Foreign direct investments (FDI) in Georgia amounted to $1.31 billion in 2019, which is a 0.3 per cent increase compared to 2018, show the latest adjusted data of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

The top three countries that invested the most in Georgia in  2019 were:

  1. United Kingdom (18 per cent)
  2. Turkey (13.4 per cent) and
  3. Ireland (10.2 per cent)

The share of the three largest investor countries in the total volume of foreign direct investments reached 41.6 per cent in 2019.
