Foreign direct investments up 174% in Georgia’s Black Sea region of Adjara

Foreign direct investments (FDI) increased by 174 per cent and amounted to $207 million in Georgia's Black Sea region of Adjara in 2019 compared to the previous year, says the press office of the Adjara Autonomous Republic Government. 

In 2018, foreign direct investments (FDI) in Adjara region amounted to $75.5 million.

In total, foreign direct investments (FDI) in Georgia amounted to $1.26 billion in 2019, up 0.2 per cent from the same period of the previous year.

The share of Adjara region in the total amount of the country's FDIs in 2019 amounted to 16.3 per cent.
