Nine new confirmed cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in Georgia on Sunday, with origins of one of the cases unknown and two revealed in health workers.
From the rest of the patients, two other infections were found to have been imported, three others are connected to an infection from previous days and one is from the "Gachiani cluster" identified in the country earlier during the pandemic.
The new cases bring active infections to 208, while 1,000 patients have recovered from the virus. The number of infections since the start of the outbreak in early spring is now at 1,225.
At hospitals across Georgia 242 patients are under care, with 7068 in quarantine. So far the virus has claimed the lives of 17 citizens in the country.
