Three new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Georgia on Saturday, with all of the new infections revealed in individuals who entered the country.
In a daily brief to reporters Marina Ezugbaia, Director of Tbilisi Hospital of Infectious Diseases said two of the imported cases were identified in transit truck drivers crossing the border.
The new figures bring the number of infections since the start of the outbreak in the spring to 1,216 and the number of patients who recovered after treatment to 996 - an 82 percent recovery rate.
The latest update also shows 241 patients with the virus still under treatment, with Ezugbaia assessing their condition between "average" and "milder than average".
