Caucasus Nature Fund to finance upgrades in Machakhela National Park

The Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF) will allocate €120,000 to finance Machakhela National Park.

The agreement has been reached between the Agency of Protected Areas and the CNF today.

The administration of the national park will receive €120,000 in financial and technical support over the next three years.

The financing will be used to improve the working conditions of the employees of the park administration, increase managerial efficiency and motivation of employees, including increasing salaries,” says the Agency of Protected Areas.

Machakhela National Park was established in 2012. It is located 30 kilometers away from Georgia's Black Sea town of Batumi.

  • Maximum five visitors are allowed to gather at the same time in the visitor centre
  • Social distancing of no less than two meters must be observed
