Georgia reoffers help to Armenia ‘at any time’ in fight against coronavirus

The Georgian government has once again offered to extend help to Armenia as the country has had 11,817 cases of the coronavirus, with 8,121 people still infected with the virus.
Georgia, which has only 142 infected individuals with the coronavirus at the moment, is ready to help neighbouring Armenia ‘ at any time’, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported earlier today, following a phone conversation between Georgian and Armenian foreign ministers.

The ministers agreed that communication will continue regarding the support.
Armenian FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan expressed gratitude on behalf of the Armenian PM and the people for Georgia’s support in the difficult time,” the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.
An online petition has been created and Georgian NGOs have also been requesting Georgia to help Armenia.
Lena Nazaryan, who chairs the Armenian-Georgian interparliamentary friend group, has thanked Georgia for its support, stating that the Georgian and Armenian people have overcome multiple obstacles together over centuries and ‘we will defeat this invisible enemy together.’
Stepan Gregoryan, a chairman of the Board at Analytical Centre on Globalisation and Regional Cooperation (ACGRC), has also expressed his gratitude.
Georgia had had 805 cases of the coronavirus so far, with the virus killing 13 individuals.
Regional peace and stability was the principal subject of a meeting between President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili and Armenia's visiting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Tbilisi on Tuesday.
“Our relationship with Georgia is special”
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has hosted Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is visiting Georgia on March 3-4. After a welcoming ceremony at the Government Administration the two prime ministers held a face-to-face meeting.
Georgia has reported four new cases of coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 805. 650 of the 805 patients have recovered, while 13 others have died. As of today 142 people remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia. Two of the new cases are from the so-called Saburlato cluster in Tbilisi, while the other two individuals were under quarantine.

Georgian health officials and ministers have stated that the country is ready to help neighbouring Armenia in the fight against the coronavirus. Armenia has already registered more than 14,000 cases of COVID-19.
Georgia has plans to supply Armenia with additional medical personnel in the fight against the coronavirus, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated earlier today.
