Georgia has received $15,000 worth of locally-produced disposable medical gowns and coverall suits, as well as IR thermometers from the US Embassy's Office of Defence Cooperation (ODC) to help the country manage the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ODC, which is a long-time partner of the Georgian Interior Ministry, is supporting it in a number of areas, including in emergency preparedness and response, as well as enhancing the capability of the Georgian Coast Guard.

Meanwhile, earlier today the USAID/Georgia delivered roses to hospitals in Zugdidi and Rukhi in western Georgia to thank the medical professionals who are ‘working tirelessly to keep people healthy and safe’ during the pandemic.
As of now, the number of total confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Georgia stands at 713, including 475 recoveries and twelve deaths.
