Police detain one for illegal possession of firearms, two for domestic violence

The Georgian police have detained a Georgian citizen for the illegal possession of firearms in the eastern Georgian region of Kvemo Kartli. 

An individual, identified as T.G. and born in 1997, who is currently on probation for theft, was found in possession of a pistol.

The crime is punishable by four to seven years in prison.

The Interior Ministry has released a video footage of the detention:

Meanwhile, two individuals have been detained for domestic violence in the Black Sea region of Adjara and Samtskhe-Javakheti. 

The Interior Ministry reported that an individual, identified as R.D. and born in 1975, verbally insulted, physically attacked and threatened to kill his wife, identified as E.K. and born in 1971 in the city of Batumi, Adjara region.

Another individual, identified as M.A. and born in 1977, physically attacked his father and a son in the Adigeni region.

Both crimes are punishable by three years in prison.
