10 more people recover from COVID-19, total recoveries stand at 178

Ten more individuals have recovered from coronavirus Georgia increasing the total number of recoveries to 178. 

As of now, Georgia has confirmed a total of 517 coronavirus cases. Six people have died of coronavirus-related complications, while 331 remain infected. 

Two infected foreigners returned to Austria, while three infected Georgian citizens were brought back home for treatment.

Georgia declared one-month state of emergency on March 21 in order to reduce the community transmission of the virus, however, later extended it to May 22.

Last Friday, the Georgian government introduced a plan to gradually reopen economy step-by-step over the next three months resuming operations of e-commerce (wholesale and retail), delivery services and open air markets at this stage. 

Georgia has also allowed private vehicles and taxis back out onto the roads from Monday as well

Although the cities of Tbilisi, Rustavi, Batumi and Kutaisi remain under lockdown, the residents of Tbilisi are now allowed to leave the capital for agricultural works between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. and return between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

However, the day earlier they should apply to the Agriculture Ministry for special permit and fill in the online application form.
