Stargazers in Georgia are gearing up to watch and record a string of "satellite train" in the night sky, as the constellation of the SpaceX Starlink hardware is expected to cross the space on Monday evening.

The string of lights was already recorded across the world last week, when the satellites designated in the project to bring internet access to all parts of the world traced their way.

At 9:07pm Georgian local time the convoy is expected to appear from the north-western direction and cross towards south-east.

The Starlink project, dubbed "world's most advanced broadband internet system", is created to bring online connectivity to areas of the globe where the network has proven to be difficult to maintain or entirely unavailable.

Promoted as having superior network performance compared to traditional infrastructure, the hardware features compact satellites using the Falcon 9 rocket of the SpaceX project.

First of the test satellites were launched in 2018, with full-scale project going ahead last year.
