About 20 doctors and several employees of the Interior Ministry have tested positive for coronavirus, said Minister of Health Ekaterine Tikaradze earlier today.
She said that soldiers have not tested positive for the new coronavirus.
Tikaradze said that this was partially expected and that is why the guideline to test these groups for the coronavirus was implemented.
The situation in these groups is under control. We are working to implement additional safety measures and guidelines for these groups and train them to be safer in the future.”
Most of the people from these groups who tested positive for coronavirus have no symptoms. But for the prevention of spreading the virus, all of them are being monitored.
Georgia has reported four new cases of the coronavirus today, bringing the total number of cases to 420.
107 of the 420 people have recovered, while five others have died.
As of today 306 individuals remain infected with COVID-19 inside the country.
5,223 people are under quarantine and 584 others in hospitals.
