Georgian diplomatic representations have provided support for 12,636 Georgian citizens abroad, while 7,600 others have been brought home to Georgia amid the coronavirus pandemic as of April 23 via charter flights or other measures taken by the Georgian government.
To receive state support during the pandemic, Georgian citizens living abroad must fill out an electronic application on the Georgian Foreign Ministry webpage.
As of now nine Georgian citizens have died of the virus abroad.
Georgia has reported nine new cases of the coronavirus today, bringing the total number of cases to 420. 107 of the 420 people have recovered, while five others have died. As of today 306 individuals remain infected with COVID-19 inside the country.
