We hope that the people of Georgia, including our citizens living in the occupied territories, will be able to successfully defeat the Coronavirus pandemic”, read the Facebook post of Transparency International – Georgia.
Meanwhile, the state of emergency that was to be in force until April 20 has been extended until May 1 in Abkhazia and the ban on the entry into Gagra and Gali districts has been lifted, but schools, kindergartens, higher education institutions and public catering facilities are still closed. No tourist facilities and hotels have been opened so far.
Entrance to Abkhazia, both from Russia and Georgia, will continue to be closed.
Lolua said the situation in the so-called “republic” is under control and no new cases of coronavirus have been reported.
Abkhazia has reported only three cases of COVID-19 since the outbreak.
